Convert Logitech Guitar Hero Controller into Arranger Controller
Orin Ayo is a free Chrome extension developed by olajide.dele that allows users to convert a Logitech Guitar Hero controller into an Arranger Controller. This innovative program turns the Guitar Hero game controller HID device into a MIDI controller for an Arranger keyboard, module, device, or application.
With Orin Ayo, users can play chords and control an arranger using the buttons on a Guitar Hero game controller. The program supports various arrangers, including Ketron Event, SD9 Series keyboards and sound module (SD90), Yamaha MODX and Montage, Yamaha QY100, Korg Micro Arranger, and Giglad application.
The five colored fret buttons on the Guitar Hero controller generate CHORD midi notes, which are sent on MIDI channel 4 when the strum bar goes up or down. Additionally, the button on the logo knob determines how the arranger style starts and stops. Pressing the button alone toggles start and stop playing the current selected musical style, while pressing the button along with a colored fret button starts the style using an intro, ending, fade-in, or fade-out.
Users can also control the style variations using the Star-Power button and the START button. Pressing the Star-Power button cycles through the style variations (A->B->C->D->A), and pressing a colored fret key plays a fill for the current playing variation. The START button cycles back down from A
